FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS and other important information:
When do you open? Our season runs from early May to mid June. The dates are usually posted in late winter on our website and Facebook pages. Any updates to our schedule will be posted.
I'm going out of town when you open and I'm afraid you will be sold out of what I want when I get back. Will you hold plants for me? The nature of our operation is to provide quality plants at reasonable prices. As much as we would like to hold plants for customers, it is not a service we provide.
I don't see anymore of this plant anywhere. Will you be getting more in? We grow our plants from plugs or seeds and don't order potted plants. Our shelf space is limited, but we may have more in our transplanting area and we haven't had an opportunity to set them out or they may need more time to grow. Some popular varieties are grown in timed steps to be available at an optimal size throughout our selling season.
Do you have gift certificates? We are not offering gift certificates at this time.
Can I purchase a gift card as a Christmas gift or at anytime of year? Sorry, our gift card program is undergoing change and are not currently available.
Do you accept credit or debit cards? Sorry, but we do not. Cash, check, or SFA Greenhouse gift cards only.
How do you keep hanging baskets looking nice all summer long? Although we try to match plants to the container size and use timed release fertilizer, additional feedings of water soluble fertilizer is helpful. The most important thing you can do is to never let your plants wilt down, especially petunias, or their main leaves will turn yellow and fall off leaving a scraggly looking plant. Warm and breezy days take the greatest toll. Locating plants where some shade will reduce water requirements is helpful. Another thought is to check with neighbors to learn what varieties perform best under your similar conditions.
My gift card has an expired date. Is it still accepted? Yes. We will reimburse valid current and expired gift cards not used.
