As I look out the window I see our garden area still covered with a blanket of snow. It's not unusual to have an April snowfall in central Wisconsin, as we did over the weekend, but it is unusual for it to not have fallen on bare ground.
It was exciting to finally see the Robins poking at the bare patch in our front yard last week. Their arrival should have announced the coming of spring. It only reminded me that anything can happen in any given year and although it looks like we are in for a cold summer, we live in Wisconsin and if you don't like the weather, wait a minute. Or as is the case this year, wait until Mother Nature is good and ready.
It won't be long before April showers turn to May flowers. No one ever said the showers couldn't be made out of snow.
