Itchy Season

2/19/2012

To many outdoor enthusiasts, the itchy season is determined by the number of mosquito bites and plant rashes developed through the summer. To gardeners, it is now, the time when each calendar day brings us closer to the day we can scratch our fingers in the dirt. Stores have their seed racks loaded, many with bright photos to entice the buyer into a promise of beautiful flowers or tasty vegetables. Nothing comes without hard work and careful attention.

This year we have an expanded selection of seed varieties. They are seeds meant to be planted directly to the garden. The packets look plain, but we are using our experience to provide varieties with a history of performance for our climate and soil type. For transplants, we have also expanded our list. We want you to satisfy that itch when you can finally scratch the dirt.
